Here Lies Society

Society didn’t fall. It faded. This is the eulogy no one thought to write—until now.
Here Lies Society

It wasn’t murdered.
It wasn’t overthrown.
It just got really, really comfortable.

Forgot how to cook,
how to read,
how to listen,
how to wait.

It outsourced its memory,
rented its empathy,
and let autocorrect finish its thoughts.

Eventually, it couldn’t be bothered to
fight for truth,
care for nuance,
or even argue properly.

So it scrolled itself to sleep
and never woke up.

Here lies Society.
Death by convenience.
Survived by ads.
