The Third Rail Reader is an exploration of intelligence, relationships, governance, creativity, repair, and the strange future we are building together. AI is often the catalyst, but rarely the destination.

This isn’t a news site or really even a blog site. It’s a thinking site. Some essays challenge assumptions. Others tell stories. Some wander into theater, bread, politics, or science. They’re all connected by a single question:
